Club History

The club was formed in January 1976 as IPMS Thames Valley at the scout hut in Cookham by 4 local IPMS members.

We stayed there until the mid 1980's, then moved to the small room in Liston Hall, Marlow until the mid 1990's we then moved for a couple of years to the Community Hall in Well End near Bourne End.

This proved unsuitable and so we then moved back to the main Liston Hall in Marlow in the late 1990's, where we are to this present date.

There are 40 members on the register of which 18 are IPMS members.

We exhibit at many model shows throughout the United Kingdom, culminating in the main show at the IPMS national championships at Telford in November, where several members have won major awards including the late Peter Cooke who was once National Champion with his incredible scratch built aircraft creations mainly in 1/24 scale.
